The Imperial Ceties of Morocco

Fes ,Marrakech, Meknes and Rabat were, at various times, the greatest historical capitals of Morocco. They are the best thread to discover the core of the ‘ Chérifien ‘ Kingdom .

Medinas and madrasas, mosques and palaces, fountains and gardens reflect the greatness of dynasties that have been succeeding. Discovering Morocco’s imperial cities, is to pass from the Atlantic coast to the Atlas Mountains through a constantly renewed landscapes and rich architectural, cultural and artistic heritages by their diversity

Each of these mythical cities was founded by a great Arab or Berber dynasty, who at a turning point in history, took it as its capital.

Kasbah of Oudayas

This impressive fortress, built in the 12th century, dominates the mouth of the Bouregreg river, separating Rabat and Salé. The alleys all descend to the peaks of the cliffs that dominate the estuary where you can contemplate the huge medina of Salé.

The Hassan Tower

Built in the 14th century, the Hassan Tower became the emblematic figure of Rabat. The choice of building the
mausoleum Mohammed V at his feet, is highly symbolic of the interest of Moroccans in this monument.
